The Baldwin Flyer carrier was used in the shop when it was E & W Clothing House from before 1920 until it closed in 1990. In 2008 it was reinstalled and restored to working order by the present owner. Mr Miller kindly supplied the excellent photographs below.


The lower propulsion. In appearance it is somewhat like an Air-Line propulsion, but it uses elastic to launch the car and a single wire.

Close-up of the car. "Flyer" was evidently the official name and not just a nickname. Appropriately it has decorative wings inside the notches for the elastic.
